FAQ: Can I track website visitors from AI referrals?
As AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini send a growing share of website visitors, Leadinfo lets you filter and trigger on this traffic separately.
You can use the "Medium: Referral" rule and enter the AI platform's domain to isolate this source.
How it works
Leadinfo already supports filtering by traffic source through the "Medium" rule (see Trigger on source). To isolate AI-driven traffic specifically, add a "Medium: Referral" filter and enter the domain name of the AI tool, for example chatgpt.com.
Step 1: Create a new trigger or segment
In the Leadinfo portal, navigate to Triggers or Segments and start a new one.
Step 2: Set the period
Select the time period to check, for example Today.
Step 3: Add the Medium: Referral filter
Choose the rule "Medium: Referral" and enter the AI domain to track, for example chatgpt.com. Combine several domains with "OR" to catch multiple AI platforms in one trigger or segment.
