# FAQ: Can I track website visitors from AI referrals?

## As AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini send a growing share of website visitors, Leadinfo lets you filter and trigger on this traffic separately.

You can now add a dedicated AI agent filter to any trigger or segment and select the specific platform(s) you want to track - no manual domain matching required.

### **How it works**

Leadinfo now includes a dedicated 'AI agent' filter for triggers and segments. Select it as your rule, then choose one or more platforms from the list, such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini.

**Step 1: Create a new trigger or segment**  
In the Leadinfo portal, navigate to Triggers or Segments and start a new one.

**Step 2: Set the period**   
Select the time period to check, for example Today.

**Step 3: Add the Medium: AI filter**  
Choose the rule 'AI agent' and select the platform(s) you want to track from the dropdown. Select multiple platforms to include every recognised AI platform in one trigger or segment.

### **What does this look like under a company?**

When an AI agent visits your site, it shows up in that company's visit timeline just like a regular visit, but clearly marked so you can tell it came via an AI agent rather than a person browsing directly.

In the example below, "Claude.ai" appears as the visitor, with the usual visit details. This means you don't just see that an AI agent visited - you can see which of your pages it pulled information from, which is useful for understanding what content AI tools are surfacing about your company.
