Leadinfo and Usercentrics Smart Data Protector (SDP)
Install the Leadinfo tracking code in combination with the Usercentrics Smart Data Protector functionality.
When using Leadinfo together with the Usercentrics Cookie Consent Management tool and its Smart Data Protector (SDP) feature, your Leadinfo tracking code may not load automatically.
Why This Happens
The Smart Data Protector (SDP) in Usercentrics automatically blocks any script that:
- is not explicitly declared (not known within their system), or
- has not received user consent.
This mechanism ensures that websites remain GDPR compliant. Usercentrics classifies Leadinfo as a marketing tool rather than an essential service. As a result, the Leadinfo tracking script, by example (cdn.leadinfo.net/ping.js), is blocked by default.
How to Resolve This
You can resolve this issue by declaring Leadinfo as a service in your Usercentrics configuration.
Step 1: Add the Leadinfo DPS Template
In your Usercentrics configuration, add the following DPS (Data Processing Service) template: ''Leadinfo (eSE_HHXnI)''. A DPS template describes what a specific service does and how it processes data.
Step 2: Choose How to Classify Leadinfo
Once added, you can configure Leadinfo in one of two ways:
Option 1: Keep Leadinfo under the “Marketing” Category
Leadinfo will only become active after the visitor grants consent for marketing cookies.
Option 2: Change the Category to “Essential”
Leadinfo will always be active, even without explicit consent.
Please note: It is your responsibility to ensure that this classification complies with your companies own legal framework.
By following these steps, Leadinfo tracking will function smoothly alongside Usercentrics and their Smart Data Protection functionality.
