How can I use the LinkedIn Export?
With the LinkedIn Export, you will download a .csv file that is ready to be uploaded in your LinkedIn campaign. No need to copy and paste in different Excel files to match the template from LinkedIn.
Based on this export, LinkedIn will look for LinkedIn profiles that are connected to the companies in your file. These contact will form your target audience for your LinkedIn campaign.
Where do I upload the LinkedIn Export?
To use the LinkedIn Export you need to have access to LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Here you can create and manage all your campaigns and ads. If you follow the below steps, you will have uploaded the LinkedIn Export within a few minutes. We assume that you already have an account for LinkedIn.
Step 1: Go to the correct campaign group and select the campaign you want to work in. If you have not set up a campaign yet, you can click on "Create campaign" on the top left.
Step 2: Confirm that you want to use the campaign group you've selected and click on "Next".
Step 3: Determine the goal of your campaign!
Step 4: Determine who your target audience is. Here you can upload the file you've downloaded from Leadinfo.
Select under "Who is your target audience?", "Audiences" and click in the right menu on "List Upload". Click on "Company List" and click on "Upload a list" in the top right corner.
Step 5: Give your list a name and upload the file. LinkedIn will no search for profiles that work at the companies in your file. Depending on the size of the list the upload can take up to a few hours.

Find similar companies using the LinkedIn Export
In the above steps, we've explained how you can use the LinkedIn Export to retarget companies that already visited your website. You can also use the LinkedIn Export to find complete new leads.
To set this up will continue from step 5.
Step 6: Select under "Who is your target audience?", "Audiences" and click on the right menu on "Lookalike. Click on "Create a lookalike audience" in the top right corner. Here you can select a list that you've uploaded earlier.
Step 7: Click on "Create". LinkedIn will now look for companies that are similar to the companies that are in your list. It can take up to 48 hours before the target audience is created.
