Since September 2024, a new functionality has been built into the Leadbot.
The WhatsApp QR Code
The problem was often that visitors on a desktop could not use WhatsApp because they did not have it installed on their desktop. This causes the visitor to get stuck when he or she wants to send a WhatsApp message via the website. It was often decided to only show WhatsApp on mobile in the Leadbot and not on desktop.
The Whatsapp QR code now makes it possible to use this on your desktop, even for visitors who do not have WhatsApp installed on their desktop.
What does the WhatsApp QR code do?
The WhatsApp module in the Leadbot will automatically generate a QR code of the typed message on the website on a desktop device. If you scan this QR code with your mobile phone, you will be redirected to WhatsApp on mobile and you can ask your question on mobile while you are still on the website on desktop.
There is also an option, if you have WhatsApp on your desktop, to choose the "Open WhatsApp Web" button. In this way, the WhatsApp message will be forwarded to the Desktop environment.
This way you give the visitor the opportunity to choose between WhatsApp on Desktop or Mobile.
What does the WhatsApp Module do when the visitor visits the website via mobile?
When the visitor comes to the website via mobile and wants to send a message via WhatsApp, the message will always be forwarded to WhatsApp on the mobile. So no QR Code is generated.
Does the Whatsapp QR code also work with a Whatsapp form?
The WhatsApp QR code works exactly the same way with a WhatsApp form as with the WhatsApp module.
