The Leadbot is a great tool for engaging with your website visitors. If the Leadbot is not showing up on your website, there could be a few reasons why. Below are the most common issues and how to fix them:
1. Error in URL Conditions
The Leadbot only shows on pages that match the URL conditions you’ve set in the Leadbot settings. If these conditions aren’t set up properly, the Leadbot won’t appear. Check your Leadbot’s URL conditions and make sure they match the pages where you want the Leadbot to show. More information about correctly setting up URL conditions can be found here.
2. Domain Name Doesn’t Match
The Leadbot will only work on domains that are registered within Leadinfo. If the domain on which the Leadbot is active doesn’t match the domain registered in Leadinfo, the bot will not be displayed. If the domain isn’t registered in Leadinfo, you can easily add the desired domain. Go to your Leadinfo settings, click the + next to "Trackers'', and add the missing domain.
It is also possible to change the existing domain name within Leadinfo. Go to the settings in the Leadinfo portal and click on the domain name you wish to change under "Trackers". From this overview, you can easily change your current domain name.
3. Content Security Policy (CSP) Is Blocking It
Some websites implement strict Content Security Policies (CSP) as part of their security measures. These policies can unintentionally block scripts from third-party services like Leadinfo, preventing the Leadbot from loading. Review your website’s CSP settings to ensure they are not blocking Leadinfo's scripts. If necessary, update the CSP settings to allow Leadinfo's scripts. This may involve adding Leadinfo’s domains and script URLs to the list of trusted sources. You may need to consult your web administrator if you're unsure how to update the CSP settings.
4. Leadinfo Tracker Only on Certain Pages
The Leadbot will only appear on pages where the Leadinfo tracker is installed. If the tracker is, by example, only set up on business-related pages, the Leadbot will only be shown on those specific pages. If the Leadbot isn’t showing on certain pages, add the Leadinfo tracking code to those pages as well. Here you can find more information about setting up the trackingcode.
5. Adblockers
Visitors using adblockers might not see the Leadbot. This happens because their browser or computer’s privacy settings block it.
Good to know: If you click away the Leadbot form, the form will remain hidden for 24 hours.
