Why does the tracker not verify?

If you've added the Leadinfo tracker to your website but it's not verifying, there are a few steps to check. Below, we explain the verification process and what to do if the tracker remains unverified.

How does the verification process work?

  •  Once the tracker is added to your website, Leadinfo will attempt to detect it.
  • This process can take up to 10 minutes before the first website visit is recognized and the verification is completed.
  • During this time, you might see the message "Tracker not found" in the portal. This is normal within the initial verification period.

What to do if the tracker is still not verifying after 10 minutes?

If the tracker is not detected after 10 minutes, follow these steps:

Step 1: Check if the tracker is correctly placed

  • Verify the placement of the tracking code by inspecting your website. Ensure that it is correctly placed according to the guidelines provided in this article, which will help you determine if the tracking code is active.
  • Ensure that the tracking code you have implemented on your website exactly matches the code provided in the Leadinfo portal.

Step 2: Check Content Security Policy (CSP) settings

  • If your website implements a Content Security Policy (CSP), it might restrict the loading of external scripts. To determine if your CSP is preventing the tracking code from functioning, please follow the guidelines outlined in this article.

Step 3: Clear cache and try again

  • Occasionally, cached versions of your website may interfere with the loading of the tracking script. To resolve this issue, please clear your website's cache.

By following these steps, your tracker should be successfully verified and start recognizing website visits. If you continue to see the "Tracker not found" message, double-check your implementation or contact us at support@leadinfo.com for help!
